These Terms govern your use of Syntax, including the public Living System at syntax.energy and any future paid features.
1. Using Syntax
You may use the public interface for lawful purposes. You must not interfere with the service, attempt to bypass security controls, overload infrastructure, reverse engineer private systems, or use automated traffic to abuse interactive features.
2. Experimental nature
The Living System is an experimental digital organism and interactive software project. Its displayed states, simulations, classifications, and generated behaviour are provided for entertainment, experimentation, and observation. They should not be treated as scientific, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
3. Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, including the organism's behaviour and contribution mechanics, at any time. Persistent data, counters, and displayed states may change as the system evolves or is maintained.
4. Future paid services
Where paid products or subscriptions are offered, the checkout page and applicable product terms will form part of the transaction. Prices, billing intervals, taxes, renewal terms, cancellation, and refunds will be disclosed before purchase.
5. Intellectual property
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Syntax's software, branding, interface design, text, graphics, and original content are owned by or licensed to the service operator. You receive a limited right to access and use the public service; no ownership is transferred to you.
6. Third-party services
Syntax may depend on third-party services for hosting, backend infrastructure, payments, analytics, communications, or other functions. Their own terms may apply to your use of those services.
7. Prohibited conduct
- attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems or data;
- circumventing rate limits or other technical controls;
- using bots or scripts to manipulate shared organism mechanics;
- introducing malicious code or harmful traffic; or
- using Syntax in violation of applicable law.
8. Disclaimer
Syntax is provided on an experimental and availability-limited basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-data damages arising from use of the service.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms as Syntax develops. Continued use after an updated version is published constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
11. Contact
Questions about these Terms should be directed through the contact method published on Syntax before commercial launch.
